Ever thought how Perspectium turns a common document (ex.common incident) into a ServiceNow incident? Well you’ve come to the right place. Perspectium utilizes the power of Transform Maps to take a field from the incoming common incident and transform it into a ServiceNow incident. In theory any field within the common incident can be mapped to any field within a ServiceNow incident. In order to map a field from a common table to a ServiceNow table, follow the steps listed below…

    1. On the search bar on ServiceNow search for PSP Common Transform Maps
    2. Select one of the provided transform maps that Perspectium gives you (ex.PSP Common Incident to Incident)
    3. Once within the form view, you will see a related list on the bottom labeled “Field Maps”
    4. Within this related list you can add a custom mapping from a common incident (Source Field) to a ServiceNow incident (Target Field)
    5. Once the field has been added, the transform map will fill the incident record using the specified mapping.
