Perspectium End of Life Policy

Purpose

Perspectium regularly reviews our portfolio to ensure ongoing focus on the solutions important to our customers. Products reach the end of their product life cycle for a number of reasons. These reasons include and are not limited to market demands, technology innovation, and development driving changes. The maturity of a product over time may cause it to become obsolete or it may be replaced by functionally richer technology.

In this document, we have set out below Perspectium's End of Life (EOL) milestones to help manage the EOL transitions and to explain the role that Perspectium will play in helping customers migrate to alternative Perspectium Products.

Scope

Perspectium’s End of Life Policy (“Policy”) applies to software, services and subscriptions (“Products”). This Policy applies to EOL Announcements on or after September 1st, 2020.

Policy

End of Life Milestones

  • EOL Announcement is typically two (2) months before End of Sale (EOS) date. EOS date is the date on which you can no longer purchase the Product or initiate a subscription. This announcement will be emailed to the primary contact in accounts that have a current subscription to the Product.
  • No subscriptions with a term that extends beyond End of Support & Service (EOSS) will be sold after EOL Announcement Date.
  • From EOS, Perspectium will provide six (6) months of bug fixes, maintenance releases, workarounds or patches for critical bugs when reported via the Perspectium portal. After the first 6 months, Perspectium will provide security related bug fixes, workarounds and /or patches, where available, for an additional twelve (12) months for application software. Customers may be required to install a newer software version to receive any of the above continued software support.
  • Perspectium will provide eighteen (18) months of support for EOL Product from EOS date.
  • Perspectium may renew service contracts for EOL Product in its discretion through the EOL date as long as the contract end date does not exceed EOSS.
  • Access to Perspectium's support portal for EOL products will be available until EOSS.

Perspectium End-of-Life Policy 2020

Definitions

For purposes of this policy, the following definitions apply:

End of Life Process                                                                                                             A process that guides the final business operations associated with the Perspectium product life cycle. The end of life process consists of a series of technical and business milestones and activities that, once completed, make a product obsolete. Once obsolete, the Product is not sold, improved, maintained, or supported.

End of Sale (EOS) The Product is no longer for sale after this date. This is also the last date to order the product, service or subscriptions through Perspectium point-of-sale mechanisms. The EOS date is documented in the EOL Announcement.

End of Life (EOL) This is the date on which development for the product or service will cease - aside from addressing security-related bugs. This is also the last date that product contracts can be renewed, and renewals cannot extend beyond the EOSS date.

End of Support & Service (EOSS) The last date to receive applicable service and support as entitled by active service contracts for covered products. After this date, the EOL Product is no longer available.
