RTO

RTO is a strategic metric in business continuity and disaster recovery planning that quantifies the maximum allowable downtime for a business process or IT system following a disruptive event. It encompasses the time required to identify the cause of the disruption, initiate recovery procedures, restore system functionality, and resume normal operations. Achieving the defined RTO involves a combination of technical solutions, such as high availability and failover systems, and organizational readiness, including well-defined recovery plans and trained personnel.
