As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will be driving the direction of our products by building the business case, completing requirements and taking products and features to release. You will be responsible for understanding the market, owning product prioritization and roadmap and leading product releases from start to finish. This role requires having technical expertise and business acumen as you work with engineers as well as sales, marketing and directly with customers to drive the vision of the product forward.


The successful candidate will be based out of our San Diego office. Due to COVID-19, this position is currently working remotely and following CDC and local guidelines to ensure safety of all our employees; however, you will need to be located in San Diego as you will be working in the office once the San Diego office safely reopens.


  • Work as part of an agile cross functional development team to release new products and features
  • Assess revenue potential and competitive landscape to prioritize features
  • Create and maintain technical requirements for products and features
  • Create epics, stories and acceptance criteria for engineering team to develop products and features
  • Drive product strategy, roadmap and release plans
  • Ability to work well with internal technical teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations. Ensure requirements are fully understood and development matches expectations.
  • Explore new ways of improving existing products
  • Monitor and analyze market trends
  • Understand, research, and follow technical trends in the industry and in general. Able to assess emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage.
  • Follow competitors and conduct capability analysis regularly
  • Engage with customers to seek feedback, uncover and understand their needs and translate them into requirements
  • Coordinate product releases with marketing, sales and engineering teams
  • Drive sales and support enablement initiatives including training
  • Answer questions about the product and its capabilities
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation
  • Mentor junior team members on product management (PM) responsibilities and best practices
  • Continuously improve PM processes and best practices
  • Performs other duties as required


  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in the tech industry with Software as a Service (SaaS) products
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Master of Business Administration Degree or equivalent experience
  • Track record and can provide examples of managing successful projects from feature definition to release
  • Experience conducting market and competitor analysis and engaging customers to get feedback and then translating into prioritized product features
  • Jira experience or similar tool for creating epics and stories for product/feature development by engineering team
  • Confluence experience or similar tool for documenting technical requirements for products and features
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Open to being challenged and willing to continuously learn and improve
